Occupational therapy addresses a variety of challenges through a child's everyday occupations.  This may include:

HANDWRITING

• Letter formation
  
• Letter sizing, spacing, margin adherence, line adherence
  
• Pencil grasp and endurance

FINE MOTOR

• Difficulties opening and closing containers, buttons, zippers, etc.
  
• Self–care, such as dressing, feeding or utensil use, hygiene
  
• Decreased hand strength
  
• Dexterity, bilateral coordination (using both hands together)

VISUAL PERCEPTION/VISUAL MOTOR

• Difficulties processing and organizing visual information from the environment

After an initial interview, assessment tools are carefully selected based on your child's needs and your family's goals.

Each session is individualized and fun, leading with your child's interests and using your child's strengths to make "work" into play.
